Often used in Oval Motorsport, Inner tubes allow the fitment of a secondary gaiter to the outside of the tyre.

This can help prevent accidental puncturing of the tyre, from wheel to wheel or body contact and can also be used to cure slow punctures on leaking wheel rims.
